Ocean Cruisesin Myanmar

The ocean cruises that Sampan Travel recommends are not always as lavish as our luxury options, however the lack of ostentation allows passengers to get closer to the country and people of Myanmar; the smell of salt is that much stronger, the spray of the sea that much more spirited.

On these sea cruises guests can travel down past Mon State to Dawei and the old smugglers’ haven of Myeik. From the latter we can take you out to the Mergui Archipelago to have picnics on pristine beaches and visit the villages of the Moken, known as Myanmar’s Sea Gypsies. In addition to cruise ships, guests can also board luxury yachts to chart Mergui at their own leisure.

  • Down Myanmar’s southern coast to discover one of the country’s least visited regions, studded with the rich footprint of Burma’s turbulent past.
  • Burma Boating offers travellers to the south of Myanmar a serene and seamless exploration into the heart of the Mergui Archipelago.
  • Travel deep into the Ayeyarwaddy Delta and down Myanmar's southern coast to go scuba diving in the Mergui Archipelago.
