17 Day

This 17 Day Journey takes its time travelling to the “Grand Four” of Myanmar as well as a handful of other, less-explored destinations. By avoiding flights throughout, this itinerary allows guests to see as much of the county as possible, travelling slowly and sustainably.

The journey begins in Yangon where you will be taken to visit the House of U Thant, the first UN Secretary General from Asia, and a lifelong campaigner for democratic values and universal education. You will take a sleeper train to Bagan before travelling by boat up the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mandalay. Explore the history of Burma’s last royal city, visit a sanctuary for Burmese Star Tortoises and then travel into Shan State to see the serene Inle Lake.
