Bodhi Nava

This is an understated, cucumber-cool guesthouse created for the relaxed and engaged visitor to Yangon. Its central location between Shwedagon Pagoda and Kandawgyi Park encourages easy access to both these highlights on foot (although we would recommend jumping in a taxi when visiting downtown.)

Bodhi Nava offers both dorms and private room, some with a small balcony, as well as private and shared showers and loos.

Downstairs, Bodhi Nava is a top-notch café, quiet and uncluttered, attractive to digital nomads and conducive to lazy mornings with a stack of magazines. The food is wholesome and punchy (we recommend the home-baked English muffin sandwich of shredded, pepper chicken) – but note that breakfast is not included in the price of your room.

FLASH POINT: The waiters are sweet and efficient, the management team – Bo & Ben – vivacious and obliging. Make some time to get to know them.
