Kalaw Hill Lodge

Kalaw Hill Lodge sits upon a 30 acre stretch of land on the Shan plateau, far from the hubbub of Kalaw. The hotel has rooms which mimic the design of the local houses but are fitted with modern amenities and luxurious en suite bathrooms. Additionally, each room has a fireplace for the colder months, satellite TV for the quieter evenings, and a comprehensive mini-bar for any time at all. The rooms are 35 square metres and offer spectacular views across to the adjacent Blue Mountains.

Kalaw Hill Lodge also provides guests with a pastry shop, billiards table, and (in the near future) a Panchakarma wellness centre, fit with massage rooms, jacuzzi and sauna. The complex is huge, perhaps the biggest of all the Kalaw hotels, incorporating a small organic farm with seasonal fruit and vegetables. Just beyond the creek are cows, goats and chickens; you are free to walk around the farm which will prove a paradise for keen twitchers. Guests of Kalaw Hill Lodge are also able to go horse-riding, take a spin in a cart led by oxen, and join a local family for lunch in the nearby village.
